Exactly one year after the release of Jesus Is Born, Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir have returned with an EP called Emmanuel. The five-song project was composed and executive produced by West. Listen to Emmanuel below.

According to press materials, Emmanuel means “God is with us” and the music featured on the EP is composed of “ancient and Latin inspired new music.” The EP was released on Christmas day in “celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.”

Kanye West’s last solo studio album Jesus Is King arrived last year following multiple delays. This year, he’s shared a few one-off singles, including “Wash Us in the Blood” with Travis Scott, “DONDA,” and “Nah Nah.” He was meant to release a new album, also called DONDA, this summer, however the LP never materialized.

Get ready to see more from the DC universe, ’cause Warner Bros. is planning to debut six superhero movies a year. On Dec. 27, Warner Bros. president Walter Hamada revealed to the New York Times that starting in 2022, the company will be releasing up to four DC titles in theaters and two feature films for HBO Max annually.

According to Hamada, “the most expensive” DC films are designed for theater releases, while less costly, riskier titles like Batgirl and Toxic Shock will drop exclusively on the streaming service. The company will also develop various DC TV series for HBO Max that will “interconnect” with the big-screen releases.

The news comes just a few weeks after Disney announced a slate of new Marvel movies and shows on its Investor Day on Dec. 11. While we already have DC’s The Batman, The Flash, Aquaman 2, and Shazam 2 to look forward to in 2022, we can’t wait to see what else is to come for our favorite DC heroes.

Born in Staten Island, New York in 1996, Taurie embraced her artistic talent in school shows, singing, dancing and performing on stage. The spotlight was a natural space for her to be in. At age 11, Taurie wrote her first song which she performed in the family living room and never looked back.

At 19, she found herself in an actual music studio for the first time, helping a friend mix a playlist for a party. She picked up studio engineering and showed innate expertise with natural ease. After putting that playlist together, Taurie could not stay away from the studio.

She suspended her pursuit of becoming a Neurosurgeon and decided to teach herself everything about studio recording of music.

Like a jewel handpicked from the chocolate swamps of the Dirty South, hails the Goddaughter from the Muddy Waters of New Orleans 2Meka Diaz aka Meka Montana of WNMG/TRU Records. No stranger to the music industry, 2Meka is a protégé of former Master P’s No Limit Records and TRU Records general Corey “C-Murder” Miller. Although C-Murder has been incarcerated for a wrongful conviction since 2002, he continues to have a powerful influence in the music industry. He recently passed the torch to his long-time friend Cuttboy G-Dinero by naming him President of TRU Records.

In an industry that is now heavily dominated by beautiful vixens, Meka found a way to claim her own lane with the single B.M.S (Bang My Sh**) which she describes as “a record that just took off.” “COVID-19 got alotta musicians in the studio. I had decided to focus strictly on activism, criminal justice reform, acting, and branding my voice tags and voiceovers.

We have lost so many friends and family to COVID, the world as we once knew it is forever changed. Like so many musicians, we ended up back in the studio doing what we always loved doing….making music.

I was downstairs and heard G-Dinero putting the track together…I heard it and ran in the studio and started rapping a few lines. G was like ‘let’s drop it now.’ We recorded the song in one session, got it mixed and mastered, and sent it to a few DJs. A team of Coalition DJs was the first music professionals to hear it and I got rave reviews from male and female DJs.
